NEWPORT, RI, February 6, 2018 – Be among the first to secure your seats at one of Newport’s most popular summer events featuring Pat Metheny with Antonio Sanchez, Linda May Han Oh & Gwilym Simcock plus Lean On Me: Josè James Celebrates Bill Withers at the Friday evening concert of the Newport Jazz Festival® presented by Natixis Investment Managers. The concert takes place August 3 at the International Tennis Hall of Fame at the Newport Casino, 194 Bellevue Avenue. The cocktail party begins at 6:30 pm, followed by the concert at 8:00 pm.

All tickets for the Friday evening concert and cocktail party go on sale worldwide on Thursday, February 8, at 10:00 am EST. The concert is a reserved seating event and tickets sell out quickly. NEWPORT, RI, January 19, 2018 – Newport Jazz Festival Assembly, a performance series presented by Newport Festivals Foundation, Inc. that brings music to elementary schools throughout Rhode Island, hits the road next week, this time including a stop at The Met High School in Providence.

The series, funded by Newport Festivals Foundation, Inc. with support from Robert F. Smith, connects professional musicians to schools with minimal or no music programs to present jazz concerts for students who may not have had the experience of attending a live concert.

2018 Newport Jazz Festival® Flex Tickets
Go on Sale November 1 at 10:00 am

NEWPORT, RI, October 24, 2017 – Flex tickets are back for the 2018 Newport Jazz Festival® presented by Natixis Global Asset Management, which takes place August 3 -5, and jazz fans around the world are invited to be among the first to purchase tickets at a great discount.

Flex tickets (good any day at Fort Adams State Park) go on sale Wednesday, November1, at 10:00 am (EST).

Adult Flex tickets are $59.00 and can be used for general admission to the concerts at Fort Adams State Park on Friday, Saturday or Sunday. With a Flex ticket, there is no need to decide now which day to attend, making these tickets a perfect gift for family and friends or a money-saving treat for yourself. Regular adult general admission tickets will be $65.00 for Friday and $79.00 for Saturday and Sunday, so the Flex ticket offers a savings whichever day you use it.

Newport Festivals Foundation Brought the Gift of Music to Gladstone Elementary School with Donation of 16 Instruments

NEWPORT, RI, October 4, 2017 – Sixteen music students at Gladstone Elementary School in Cranston were smiling brightly when Newport Festivals Foundation, Inc., which produces the Newport Jazz Festival® and Newport Folk Festival®, brought the gift of music – one cello plus three violins, violas, clarinets, trumpets and flutes – to the school auditorium on Thursday, September 28.

"Newport Festivals Foundation, Inc. strives to educate young people about the music of its famous festivals. Part of that education includes offering students the opportunity to experience making music,” said Deborah Ross, the Foundation’s Director of Education. “We are happy to work with local public schools, who still have music programs, to give kids the chance to express themselves in ways that complement reading, writing and arithmetic."
