New York, NY, September 25, 2019 – Today the Louis Armstrong Educational Foundation (LAEF) announced three days of celebration in honor of the organization’s 50th Anniversary, includingthe Annual Louis Armstrong Continuum Symposium and Concert and the Annual SatchmoTMAward, with a special Lifetime Achievement Award to the LAEF board president.

Joe Lovano Universal Jazz Orchestra Makes World Premiere in Jazz at Lincoln Center's

New York, NY (September, 2019)– On October 18-19 at 7:00 p.m. and 9:30 p.m., in Jazz at Lincoln Center’s The Appel Room, Joe Lovano– tenor titan, and one of the world’s best saxophonists – will debut the Joe Lovano Universal Jazz Ensemble, an all-star octet of innovators and free thinkers who span generations and move fluidly across genres. September 3, 2019 -- Join the Paul Robeson Celebration Committee this Friday, September 6, 8:00 pm, at the Paramount Theatre, 1008 Brown Street in Peekskill, NY, to celebrate the legacy of Paul Robeson.

Don’t miss performances by Akua Dixon, Wallace Roney Quintet, Steven Herring, Antonio Ciacca, Craig Holiday Haynes, Erik Contzius and Guy Davis, along with with special guests Jeffrey Deskovic, Burt "Buddy" Glassberg and others!

The celebration marks the 70th Anniversary of Paul Robeson’s September 4, 1949, concert in Peekskill, NY. A renowned baritone, actor, activist and athlete, Robeson used his celebrity to challenge the social and economic status quo, making a fundamental, positive change on society on an international level.
